Rick’s Kahlua

1  Pint of water
1 Large Vanilla Bean, cut in half
3¾ Cups sugar
5 Tbsp Instant Coffee
¼ cup boiling water
1 – 750ml bottle of Vodka

Slow boil the pint of water,  dissolve sugar slowly.  Add vanilla bean and continue slow boil for 5 minutes.  If you decide to use pure vanilla instead of bean, add  1 ½ teaspoons of pure vanilla after the boiling is over.  Cool for 15 minutes.  Dissolve 5 Tablespoons of instant coffee in the ¼ cup of boiling water.  Get a 1/2 Gallon Glass jug, add 750 ml of vodka and pour in all remaining ingredients.  Shake well and let stand for 2 – 3 weeks.
