Ingredients & Directions
1¼ cup Spicy Bloody Mary mix
(I use: Zatarain’s Cajun bloody Mary Mix or you can use our Bloody Mary Mix listed under beverages.)
2 eggs
1/3 cup pepper vodka
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp. butter
4 slices of whole grain or sourdough bread (we used Grateful Bread 16 grain loaf)
6 slices thick cut bacon
12 dill pickle slices
2 tsp. prepared horseradish
4 slices of pepperpack cheese, thick cut
4 slices of aged sharp cheddar, thick cut
2 olives, garnish
2 pepperoncini’s, garnish
2 gherkins, garnish
In a shallow dish, whisk together your bloody Mary mix, eggs and vodka and a dash of black pepper. Add bread and coat both sides for 10 seconds.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the two bread slices and cook for 2 minutes. Flip One, top with half the aged cheddar, top with half the pepperjack; add pickles; and add the cooked bacon. Lay down a coat of prepared horseradish on the other bread half (optional) and top the sandwich.
Cook until sandwich is deep golden brown and cheese is melted. Approximately 3 – 5 minutes per side. Repeat for a second sandwich. Garnish with Olive, Pepperoncini, gherkin.
